It is hard to believe that I blinked, and all of sudden it is time to write another newsletter, another lunch is on the way. It’s our special Christmas luncheon, when we can meet, eat, drink and relax amongst our members and their guests.
The last lunch our guest speaker the Chief Exhibitor of the Crown Jewels Keith Hanson, had us in continuous laughter, whilst telling us passionately all a
bout the story of the Tower of London. The Kings, Queens, and Traitors who occupied the historical building with all the gory details so common during those centuries past.
I will need your help to choose what subjects you would most like to hear after lunch. Sport, politics, comedy, music? Can I possibly ask you to put your thinking cap on?
We have a number of guest speakers already lined up for next year. We will indicate the dates for your diary 2016!!!!! I better get myself one! As next year is approaching fast…
Still on the subject of guest speakers our December guest speaker is Michael Infante. He will be sharing with us his many experience of his “Life at Pinewood Studios” and facts behind the movies. Stuart, Tricia and I were lucky to be shown around Pinewood Studio’s earlier this year, and Michael kept us amused with his many fun stories of the people and happenings at this amazing studio.
The “Business Date” Kate our vice chairman gave a positive report back about her lunch with Andy Biggs of Closewood Ltd which highlighted the concept of fully “understanding” each other’s business, well enough to be confident in recommending to others, so who knows what can happen in the future?
Well… we will have to wait to follow up on Angie and Roger Summerfield. They will be having their lunch in January.
As always, I am looking forward to seeing you and your guests at our Christmas Luncheon
December’s Guest Speaker – Michael Infante of Pinewood Studios
Michael Infante began his career in his family’s food business, before turning to the music industry. Impressively, Michael worked on the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s largest recording project as the executive producer at the CTS in London.
However, it wasn’t music that was brought Michael here to tell us his story. Now, he will be sharing his experiences at Pinewood Studios, the very company that brought you James Bond. Hear some amusing stories about the people and happenings in this amazing studio.
